Little Round Post :)

Little round post

Here we have this semi-neon dress that I found some time ago. The color is as fresh as homemade lemonade. Then, there is the old cardigan so serene and polite. I think that they complement each other, like a good couple with opposite personalities :)

Shoes and Bag

One of the things that I enjoy the most about design is simplicity. The kind of sophisticated simplicity that makes something become timeless. The bag and shoes in these pictures are a great example of it. They were both made in a limited edition of 150.

I try to take care of them as much as possible because my dream is for Natalie to enjoy them too when she grows up.

Take a look at the details, the craftsmanship is amazing. This bag goes with everything and the leather is so soft.

And the shoes have such a great personality. They are quiet but full of stories to say and the color is so unique in person.

Oh! And the little button on the side, pure perfection :)

Simple Yellow Dress

Yellow dress con fondo

This is such a simple dress, but I love it. The fabric is an unusual kind of silk with a little bit of a pearl/metallic finish. I also got it in Vietnam. It was handmade by the most charming little lady. I told her that I liked the fabric and she made me try it on. It was too small on my hips but she said NO PROBLEM, I'LL FIX IT! She did fix it and here I am wearing it many years later. I will never forget that lady, what a personality! She was so positive and her smile was so authentic. It is hard to forget a beautiful smile like that. I hope that she is selling lots of dresses in these days :)

Tights :)

Yellow dress and tights

I never worn tights in Cuba. An accessory like that in the sunny (burning hot) island, is as appropriate as a sundress in the North Pole :) But I discovered them in my first trip to Italy when I was 23 years old. I normally have a hard time finding tights that I really like. Most of the materials used for making them are uncomfortable to me, but I found these ones the other day and I'm in love, I got them in different colors. The material is so soft and flexible plus the finish is opaque as you can see and I love that too. I am looking forward to wearing the other colors. Sometimes they're the perfect touch to complete an outfit :)

Yellow Polka Dot Top

I found this little top at Target in the children's department. It is yellow with white polka dots and I love it so much. I made it get alone with the rest of the grown up pieces in this outfit and I think that it worked out well :)

For Joseph Blouse

I was driving back home from the supermarket the other day when I spotted an interesting sign that said: HUGE SALE ON DESIGNER CLOTHES. I was specially attracted by the two first words so I decided to take a look. And I am so glad that I did! I found this blouse by a label called For Joseph which I never heard about before. I can't remember the exact price right now but it was like 80% off, just incredible! A piece like this is so versatile. This top is special because of the sleeves. I love it when clothes are simple with one special detail. The magic is always in the details :)

I am so excited about my little top! It is simple but also versatile and I love the mustard color. The fabric is this delicate silk that I purchased a long time ago. I have so many ideas for simple little tops. The charm is always in the detail :) You can just sew a simple "base" add some sweet detail to it and taraaaa! There you have something to be excited about :)

Hope and Happiness:

Yellow is sunshine. It is a warm color that, like red, has conflicting symbolism. On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice and deceit.

Using Yellow with Other Colors:

Use yellow to perk up a more subdued cool palette of blues and grays. Use lemon yellow withorange to carry out a healthy, summery, citrus theme. Very pale yellows can work as neutrals alongside darker or richer colors. Yellow and blue are a high contrast, eye-popping combination. Mix yellow with neutral gray and a dash of black for a high-tech look.

Try a hot, exciting mix of red and yellow. For an earthy palette, especially for fall, mix yellow, olive green, and brown. While yellows and bright or light greens can be part of a natural, fruity color palette, be careful not to use colors too close in value or they will appear washed out.

Yellow Words: These words are synonymous with yellow or represent various shades of the color yellow.

Lemon, yellow ocher, golden, saffron, cream, topaz, mellow yellow.
