The Hidden Seed

This illustrated post was inspired by C. who wrote me a personal and important letter.Thank you so much C. for trusting me. I want to dedicate this post to you. For a successful  journey!

The Hidden Seed

The most important little seed that we have within is called self esteem. We need to nourish it everyday. A tiny drop of water everyday is all it takes. I'm doing my best to make our children aware about that little seed. I want them to grow being comfortable with themselves and accepting their own strengths and limitations. And the best way to teach this to them is by setting a good example myself. I wasn't always someone who was comfortable in her own existence. It took me years of emotional growth. When I finally opened my eyes I realized  that in the end we don't really have to go far away to find ourselves. The journey to a healthy self esteem starts in our mind, in our thoughts and today I wanted to share some of my favorite thoughts about self esteem with you:

To wish you were someone else is to waste the person you are.

Believe in your dreams and they may come true; believe in yourself and they will come true

Self-esteem isn't everything; it's just that there's nothing without it

Self esteem is the reputation we acquire with ourselves.

Why compare yourself with others? No one in the entire world can do a better job of being you than you.

You must love yourself before you love another. By accepting yourself and fully being what you are, your simple presence can make others happy.

About the illustration: It's a picture of myself turned into a paper doll and dressed with a paper dress containing some pencil drawings.

Bird Conversation

Elsa with Bird final copy

Intuition is like a bird. Remember that expression?: "A little bird told me..." If you listen to your "little bird" you will hear the most amazing things. Whenever I need advice  about something I call my little bird and he tells me all the things that I need to hear. In this picture you see the two of us having a happy conversation :)

Have a great Friday my friend and a wonderful weekend!
