Spoonful.
A new issue of Spoonful is available now. One of the pages in it, is this quote by Albert Camus illustrated with paper. This is a good quote to remember.

Here is a new version of this piece. The stage is the same but the characters on it are totally different. Sometimes you need to do things over and over until it works. I'm waiting for my editor's opinion to see what's the next step.
This piece was specially created for my good friend Debra who passed away last year. I wanted to represent the process in which the soul separates from the body when someone is dying. My friend loved it and found lots of peace in this image. I told her that her soul was always going to be alive in my heart and in the hearts of so many people who loved her. There isn't a day when I don't think about my friend. I believe that there is life beyond the body. Debra is so alive to me.
A new piece titled Visionary.
The girl had a vision, a dream about exploration and about going away. So she cut herself some paper wings. Her wings took her to the most unexpected and mysterious places. The journey was beautiful and painful at the same time. At some point the girl wanted to go back home, but she realized that her real home was her own mind, so she kept dreaming and flying until the end of her life.
This was the last piece that I finished for the show at Giant Robot 2. I am really loving this new organic-looking shapes. I can't wait to keep going in this direction to see where it takes me.
