Good Morning Birdie

  Good Morning 1..

Good Morning copy

Good morning copy

Here is a sweet girl greeting her tiny bird in the morning.

The first picture looks flat because it is a scan, but the way the piece looks in person is like in the last 2 pictures.

The paper was embossed from the back with my wooden tools to achieve that nice volume.

I love the tiny vignette underneath the girl, that's a detail that I would love to use in other pieces as well.

I carefully glued this papercut on a 8.5" x 11" beautiful acid-free blue paper and it's ready to frame.

The upper piece measures 4" x 5 1/4" (10.3 cm x 12.5cm)

And little vignette is about 3.5" wide a half inch tall.

This papercut is avalable for purchase on my Etsy store.

SOLD OUT  Thank you!

Nature 600

I am very excited about sharing this piece with you. It took me a long time (months) to finish it but I am so pleased with the final result.

This year I have been doing lots of meditation, reading and thinking about emotional growth. Then, I felt inspired to create a special and unique paper piece that contained all those elements.

Cara detail copy

This piece is about emotional growth and about introspection. I think that in order to develop our inner world we constantly need to look inside ourselves. We constantly need to take care of our "personal garden" and that's what the girl in this piece is doing.

Frame copy

When we lose contact with our inner world, negative things start happening; our personal garden dries out and the flowers and fruits disappear. You see a bird inside the girl. This bird represents that natural sense of direction that we all have, it's some sort of guide that helps us find our way through life. The bird can only be alive if the garden is alive, because they need each other.

On the other hand, I was extremely lucky to find this amazing antique frame that came with a bubble glass, it couldn't be more perfect.

The frame measures 12" x 18".

This piece looks really amazing in person and it will be listed on my Etsy shop until it finds a soulmate one day.

Happy Monday!

Elsita :)

Paper Fur :)

Bunny1 copy

Hand small

I love the way the "fur" came out in this piece.

Bunny bird copy

I had to pock soooooooo many little holes on the paper to create this effect!

But I am happy that I did it. I think that it adds so much dimension to the surface.

Bunny black 1 small

The two pictures above make me smile :)

Because the tiny illuminated freckles remind me of Christmas!

Yay!! They make me really happy :)

Frame small

This piece is beautifully framed and available for purchase on my Etsy store.

The paper is not glued to the background, instead, it's suspended between two pieces

of glass to create the shadows.

It looks really special in person :)
