This is such a simple dress, but I love it. The fabric is an unusual kind of silk with a little bit of a pearl/metallic finish. I also got it in Vietnam. It was handmade by the most charming little lady. I told her that I liked the fabric and she made me try it on. It was too small on my hips but she said NO PROBLEM, I'LL FIX IT! She did fix it and here I am wearing it many years later. I will never forget that lady, what a personality! She was so positive and her smile was so authentic. It is hard to forget a beautiful smile like that. I hope that she is selling lots of dresses in these days :)

I too have several dresses made by such a lady in Vietnam. I have such fond memories in those dresses I will never be able to give them up. Elsa, I love your blogs, you are so inspiring. I am a new mom, I don't know how you do it all. I only wish I were so prolific. The ideas and inspiration are there I just can't get them done.
