One of a kind.
This piece is a little jewel. Extremely detailed and beautiful in person. The top of the box is decorated with a painting done on a an original papercut, creating the effect of a bass relief. The book opens to a pop-up colorful paper drawing of a couple framed in tiny cameos. The text on the box says:
Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.

When God anoints a song, you just know it! Thanks so much for Beauty will Rise.My husband of 31yr divorced me recently and of all the music I've listened to (I'm a choir director so music is my thing), this CD has ministered to my ravaged heart. I'm expecting to dance across the ruins and believe beauty is coming for all the ashes. Out of your pain a sweet aroma is raising up to the throne that is blessing many hurting hearts who can relate. God Bless!

This is my all-time favorite book ever. I first read it my frmshean year in high school, three years ago, during a very rough time in my life and I absolutely fell in love with it. I loved the style, I LOVED the characters, I loved the story. I'm using part of the first page as my senior quote and making my book club read it this month. I'm super excited for all the activities in this program!

Words are so important, so peworful. I liked the fact that the Leisl's parents were communists, another perspective of the sufferings done at the hands of Nazi Germany. Her foster parents seem to be average people, yet are sympathizers with Jews, Communists, et. al. Gives us hope for humanity. I left #316 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Let's see who this book will impact next. Bravo Zusack!

you don't know how lucky you are to live in such a beautiful place. I miss mnitoauns in the background. Florida is such a flat and boring state as far as the scenery goes.

Such a good and inspiring read, and sionyltre. I had no intention of ever seeing the film (nor reading the book for that matter) until I found myself being dragged into the theater one Saturday afternoon. I had it all figured to be a "womanly thing", beforehand. Yet it turned out to be universal, to the point where I am sure every person in the world can identify.

Hi Linda - found your blog via Marilyn at delights of the heart - I love tea too and have toepsd a few time on it! I will follow your blog now, as it appeals to my tea and cake instincts - and I hope you follow/visit mine! You might find something you like there. I love the cabinet and your lovely teasets. I have some fine bone china cups/saucers from my mother's wedding present in 1954 which I treasure. She passed away this year at 94 RIP. It's great to see how tea is uniting the blogosphere! All the best, Catherine

Hi Linda! How adorable! OMGOodnes! I have that exact opeatt on top...it was my grandmother's and I display it because I'm afraid I would break it. Of course, she would say, "how silly! If you love it, enjoy it & if you break it, cherish the memories." And even though she lived into her late 80's...she would always say, "life is too short to drink tea out of anything but a tea cup". How true!! She was Irish. :)Hope you have a wonderful Memorial day weekend!Hugs, Sheri

Just because they were made in China doesn't mean you have to lose hope! I would think that out of the blnoilis of people that live there, there'd be at least a couple million crazy ladies who hand paint portraits of their deceased cats onto miniature decorative plates that eventually make their way to trinket shops here in America.Ok, maybe a couple million is kinda high. I think a more realistic number would be just one million.BTW, nice blog!
