One of my all time favorite fairy tales is Little Red Riding Hood. It is so simple, but complex at the same time if you think about it. The girl is walking in the forest (life's journey). There is a bad wolf involved in the following events (life's obstacles). We all know the story. The best part is that there is a happy ending. Who hasn't felt like Little Red Riding Hood at some point?
The illustration above is the first of a series of works that I will be creating based on the Little Red Riding Hood theme. This is going to be very exciting! Would you follow me in this adventure? I have lots of adventure this year. This is just one of them.
Yay!! :)
Now, apart from the "seriousness" of this post, if you really want to laugh out loud please read this modern version of Little Red Riding Hood :)

You're right Clarissa.
The story comes from Politically Correct Bedtime Stories: Modern Tales for Our Life & Times
by James Finn Garner.

My favourite version of the tale is The Company of Wolves (film) based on Angela Carter's short story - her work was very surreal too!

i adore fairytales/folk tales and their symbolism, metaphor and their teachings through various interpretations.
to me your apple feels like a scrying crystal to see a vision/moment in time.

Utterly charming. Utterly adorable. You took a tale we've heard a hundred times and made it totally "other."

Me encanta tu ilustracion!
