I wanted to share this with you because it will give you an idea of how you can re-create expensive jewelry with seed beads. When I saw the amazing dragonfly on the left I immediately fell in love. The piece is available on Etsy but it really belongs in a museum. It's made of 18K yellow gold and silver and the stones are real diamonds, rubies and peridots.
When I saw the price I realized that I had two options:
1. Keep going and forget about it.
2. Or make my own modest version inspired by the amazing original piece.
I'm glad that I went with option #2 :) My goal was to create something that captured the spirit of the original piece and the Art Nouveau feeling. I love the result. I don't know the name of the artist that designed the original dragonfly but he/she was/is amazing. It makes me happy when I discover something that moves and inspires me.

Gorgeous, beautiful, lovely Elsita!!! xxx

The inspiration is nice but typical to expensive, jewel, jewelry. Yours is really beautiful, unique and personally more my "style". I love the colors! Dragonflies are also special to me as they remind me of a wonderful friend who passed away years ago. Thank you for posting!

I'm going to whisper it as I have no wish to offend the other dragonfly creator, but I much prefer yours. It's so lovely x

Your version is very very pretty <3 (the jewel one is wonderful but the price ... :'()
Your exploration with beads makes me want to use seed beads again, I used to make seed beads jewellery and embroidery in the past and I still have a lot of beads waiting in the dust.
Thanks for being such an inspiration <3
