You have a great heart, and your art is beautiful.

Donna Butcher

Beautiful thoughts and wonderful art. Friends are so special no matter how they are present in ones life.

Elizabeth de Sousa Pinto

I am so sorry for your loss, I feel with you as you gave us the opportunity to go with you through this sad time.
I don't know if you know this poem by Elizabeth Frye, which was written in 1932 and which, in my opinion, fits in quite good:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Elsita

That's such a beautiful poem Elizabeth.
Thank you so much for sharing it. I love it.

Thank-You for this wonderful explanation, Elsita. This is exactly my experience since Bronwyn passed away. I love your painting.

Es una obra preciosa me encanta el fondo y todos los detalles en rojo, son muy refinados. Tambien la motivacion del tema elegido.

When a our friends leave this earth, they leave behind a tiny bit of themselves in our hearts. You took the pain of the loss of your friend and magically transformed it into art. It's beautiful.

Barbara

This painting is so beautiful, expressive, fine...it reminds me of an old painting, Renaissance maybe...because of the background, the colours, the delicacy and movement of the figure...it´s so wonderful.
I love your words and I believe that in some way your friend will always be with you.
