Dear friend:
I am giving away this 4"x6" original watercolor girl. For a chance to win it just leave a comment on this post. This was a little test that I did because I'm planning to create a small series of watercolor pieces. I wanted to test the paper, which is really nice and heavy. Now that I tested it I'm sure that it's the right one for me to use. I will announce the winner on Friday, March 18th.
Have a nice weekend!

Oh my gosh! Yay!
Here's my entry and here's one hoping I'll win. The picture is beautiful and I would love Love LOVE to have something made by you in my new studio!

I know this was just a quick paper test Elsa but it still exudes the heart and very core of your work - which I’m helplessly attracted to because even though it relays an overt sweetness, a sort of youthful innocence, it’s masking a vulnerability with a longing to be free from that very vulnerability. Maybe this isn’t what it’s meant to be but this is how I read it as I feel this every day of my life. In addition to its natural beautiful aesthetic quality, this piece has incredible depth and layers. Eres la alma. I would love LOVE to have it but I'm absolutley honored to just be witness to your amazing work.

I love all your creations!
I’ m a girl from Taiwan, and in a special chance I saw your papercuts. They are really gorgeous. I introduced your creative works to my friends, and they were also surprised at your amazing artworks. From that time I started to follow your blog and try to improve my English by reading your optimistic words. Though I may not win your watercolor girl, I still want to tell you that your works give me a lot of power.

I don't know what my favorite part is! The scissors and the uni-bro, probably. It makes me think that the little girl is going to cut off her beautiful red hair and trim her uni-brow . . . . or her ribbon! :) I love doing small watercolor pieces; it is so satisfying. Yours will be beautiful! Have fun. :)

This is the first time I've left a comment - thank you for your inspiring words and incredibly stunning work!! I live in Daylesford - Victoria, Australia and our little town just celebrated chill out festival - my little girl came home with a beautiful rainbow painted on her face - one day later, her eyebrows still painted and colourful - she now looks like the little girl in your painting - Magical and strong!

Elsa, this charming dainty orange-haired girl with her gingham hair-bow has so much wide-eyed tenderness and blushful character. I can tell she has the sweetest disposition and wants to make friends. Come with me, let's play and make merry with fancy dress-up games, off we'll go exploring headlong into the meadow amongst the butterflies and blossoming honey-suckle flowers. We'll stop along the way to sip some leamonade and delicate strawberry-sandwich cookies and string ombre ribbons wherever our pretty and sticky fingers may touch. Our findings will surely please anyone passing by.

Dear Elsita,
When I can take a moment to check your blog posts I am always so glad I have. To enter your magical, expressive, productive world inspires me. It touches me deep in places in need to access. You are an artist who speaks completely with your heart. Your work is so beautiful and heart-full. I am a doll maker and painter who has a child with very special needs/gifts. She is an amazing and complex red headed nine year old named Lucinda. Your sharing stories of your own children and their unique paths raises my spirits at unexpected times. I think of you in odd moments and it helps. I am sure you didn't know I was out here with you as a support. I feel there must be many people you touch in this way. Thank you for documenting and sharing your work and thoughts. Kathy
