Here is a new ink and colored pencil drawing on paper that I finished recently.
This is one of those pieces where the experience of creating it was more important to me than the urge to explore its possible meanings. It took thousands of fine little lines to complete the figures. Each new line was like a step deeper and deeper into my subconscious. When I do this kind of work I feel that I can fly really far way, right from my chair. I wish that I didn't have to stop being in that state of mind, it's really liberating. No rules, no time, no rush, just the pure joy of being alive.

Wow!!! Fantastic drawing Elsita!!!!! xxx

It's wonderful to meet such an amazing illustrator! As a fellow pen and ink artist, I can't wait to see what you create next! I love the quirkiness of the piece, with the double bird heads. Your detail is just beautiful.

Wonderful drawing, Elsita. I have experienced the feelings that you describe - like being in a meditative state - with another type of paintings (wet on wet watercolours painting, pastels..), but I'd like to try this technique, although I cannot draw anywhere near like you do. Could you share the type of pen or pencils that you use?.
Muchisimas gracias.

Your drawings are beautiful! I know what you mean about going into a rule-less world. I do the same when I dye fabric or design a pattern. I love it!!! Be well and thank you for sharing your delightful work with the world! xx*a

That's why people enjoy him. He does and says the funniest things.
Tonight he said: Mom, do you know that the duck season is a very important holiday?
