Today I would like to share some pictures of my studio with you.
I took them some time ago.
If everything goes as planned, I will be able to spend more time in it in 2011.
My head is full of ideas that I need to put out in a visual way:
in paintings, sculptures, drawings, papercuts etc...
See the little faces on the wall?
That was my friend's idea!
I love it Maiz!
This last picture was taken at night from my kitchen.
I love looking at my studio from the kitchen at night
when I'm washing the dishes, after the kids go to bed .
I am so extremely grateful to have a place for my art, where
I can enjoy my creative adventures.
Having a studio was my biggest dream when I was a little girl.
I still cannot believe that this dream came true.
I'm eternally grateful for it.
I'm also grateful for my kids, husband, relatives, friends and for my health.
Have a wonderful day!
Elsita :)

What a wonderful space to be creative in! I've always loved your studio and I do hope you will get to spend as much time as you want in it in the new year. And you have a Vlad Tepes mug!! How nice :) I'm Romanian so I noticed it immediately :D
Have a lovely rest of the week!

You created a wonderful place to work in. Have a question, how do you keep track of all your ideas that whirl around? Do you write them down in detail? Make sketches all the time? Maybe something totally different, would you mind telling us.
I'm already looking forward to 2011, just to see what kind of ideas are floating around and to be materialized.
Have a great day.

You have a lovely studio. I hope to have one just as lovely someday. For now i'll just keep at it in my little corner of my apartment. :)

Thank you Rodi!
I got my Vlad Tepes mug when I was in Romania many years ago.
Bill was producing Cold Mountain there so I went with him.
I have the best memories of Romania.
The countryside where the movie was getting made was like paradise.
Amazing landscapes.

Hola Elizabeth!
I have two main ways to store and track my ideas:
1. I write down and draw them in books that I keep in my studio.
2. The most important ones just stay in my memory. They keep revisiting me
specially before I go to bed.
One day I will post something about this subject.

I love this post Elsita!
It's always fantastic to be able to look at an artist's workspace. It's inspiring!
You're so lucky to have a lovely space like this! Hopefully one day I can share my very own studio with you (virtually) :) !

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your studio Elsita, it has a wonderful vibe to it! I hope to have my own studio too one day! :0)Looking forward to your future creations. The first thing I ever bought from you is sitting right here in my new flat...The orange haired soft doll with the little bird attached to her head, and her basket. :0)I LOVE her!
Big hugs to you, xxx

Thank you for this wonderful invitation to visit you in your studio--for you are everywhere in these photos of an inspiring space filled lovingly with your creations, Elsita! Your dollies and miniature papercuts capture my heart, as always. Your bookshelf...your "hand" note sheets...your art on the walls....everything--even I love seeing your scissors and art supplies!

WOW, What a incredible studio. But somehow I know even if you were living in a shanty you'd create a beautiful space to work.

Wow, how beautiful and BIG. And the wonderful light and ambiance are so inviting!
I have a tiny room for my studio that I share w/ everyone in the family and Pickles and Clementine, our cats! But it's better than the kitchen table that I used for many years, right?
Thanks for posting!!!

What a beautiful serene space. I feel calmer just looking at the photo's. It's very tidy - do you always keep it that way? It's interesting because I'm a tidy creative person but people always tell me that's an impossible combination. Without a tidy space to work in I find it impossible to concentrate.

Hi Elsa! THANK YOU!
I love your studio, I can imagine how wonderful and peaceful is is there, and it is every bit as lovely as I imagined! I love the way you high lit some of your favorite special delicate details for us to see...I can see how you take time both to do and to appreciate...
I know how special a studio is.
We just moved from Germany to Paris(I have not been online for weeks and have been unpacking like crazy) where I will begin art school in January. I just packed up my studio in Germany, and am reforging my studio here, in our new apartment in Paris (much smaller but still special!) I have always had some sort of space or another, i grew up with a very creative mom, who always had one as well...so I sort of feel like I cannot be without one...but to have a really nice and spacious one with great air and light, sorted just the way you want...ahhhh BLISS! I can see the good energy oozing out of yours. I unpacked and sorted my things yesterday....it made me SO HAPPY!!!
Thanks for sharing! I hope Bill is better!
Thank you SO much! HUG! Unlikely Nomad

gorgeous, inspiring, peaceful. I hope my studio will be so lovely some day. May I ask where you got your light box for photographing your wonderful creations in the photo with all your photography supplies. It looks like it can fold up or be collapsed which is something I need for my tight space. I am not finding one like it in my searches. You are such a creative force!

Here is the portable photo tent that you saw in the picture.

Ahhhhhh... I think I would like to spend my summer vacation there. It is so perfect, and filled with exciting things to look at, and you DESERVE that space! You are someone with both a need AND an ability to make beautiful things, and those rare creatures SHOULD have such a perfect studio. Hooray for your studio!

రవి, కథ బాగుంది. కానీ 2131 దాకా ఆగక్కర్లేదేమో ఆ కథలోని తాత' మనమే కావొచ్చు. My vision of the trufue is more cynical Closer to The Stepford Wives' (or Husbands, for that matter)
