yes, it is amazing what power we have when we strive to overcome an obstacle or a fear. Congratulations on your drive on the freeway! It can be fun! And thanks for sharing the pix of Rene. Hope he's continuing to do well.

Elizabeth

That is fantastic news. Keep up the high spirits Rene and we'll keep praying.

So great to hear the progress! It is always amazing how much your mind plays in everything you do and feel. I am so happy to hear the progress both of you have made! Keep it up - the thoughts and prayers are still coming your way daily!

Elsita, you and your brother have been in my thoughts. I have checked your blog daily and felt so sad that you had not posted in awhile. I know your energy has been with Rene. So today I am very happy that he is doing well and you are feeling better. I lost two cherished friends, one to liver disease, one to alzheimer's disease, last month. The mystery of life and death is very much with me today, and my heart is with you also. Love, Nancy Gage

Danita

That's great news Elsita! I'm so happy for you and your family!

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to,doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. Do you understand?

kirsten

He looks wonderful, Elsita...many hugs to you for seizing upon the positive, beautiful things in life and using them to make yours lovelier, as well.

YYYayyyy Elsita:D for your brother doing better AND for your first freeway drive...I am glad to know I am not the only grown women with a fear of busy higways, ha ha. When we lived in Toronto and came home to North Bay, I could do it, I have done it on a number of occasions but it's defaintly not something I enjoy or offer to do willingly...yayyyy for your though, for overcoming a fear:D Your lovely...and I haven't popped by in awhile so I am anxious to see what amazing work you've been up to:D

Hi Elsita,
So glad to hear things are going well! Rene looks great and I'm very pleased to hear he has a positive outlook!
And yay for you!! Freeways can be scary. So many cars going at high speed, but at least everyone around you go the same direction. That makes it a bit less scary. Still... I remember when we drove our cars from Hungary to the UK to register and MOT them we had to drive on endless motorways in all sorts of different countries. By the time we got to England, I had white-knuckle-syndrome, I held on to the wheel so hard!
Did you get my facebook message?
xx, Veronika

I believe that we're all a human family and we all have something to learn from each other. Right now I see Rene not only as my beloved brother, but also as an amazing and inspiring human being. He's my hero and my teacher right now. In other posts I will tell you why.

Your words are so right. I live in Holland and visit your blog.
Your story and that of your brother touches me deep in my heart.
I wish you all the good and love moments that a family can share.

Your strenght is a comford for other people in bad times.

A big hug for all of yoy Patricia

Lucia

Thank goodness! Keeping you and all of your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I have read in a book "winners don't do the different things. They do the things differently". Champions always follow the same things.
