I am so happy!
Because my brother Rene called me from Miami today.
It's the first time that I hear his voice since I came back from Miami, he sounded great and so positive! I could not believe it when I heard his voice, what a huge surprise!
Yay!
Rene is doing amazing under the circumstances, because his mind is just in the right place. It's amazing the role that the mind plays in a person's life.
Here is another piece of news that I cannot wait to share with you:
Remember how once or twice I said that I was afraid (really afraid) of going on the freeway?
Well, I'm not anymore! I drove on the freeway for the first time in my life on Saturday.
I still cannot believe it! I drove for 2 hours, I took Bill and the kids to the mountains.
I did it inspired by my brother Rene. Because he's a champion and he thinks that anything is possible if you really want it. As I told you before, he's my best teacher right now, Rene's teaching me how precious life really is.
:)

yes, it is amazing what power we have when we strive to overcome an obstacle or a fear. Congratulations on your drive on the freeway! It can be fun! And thanks for sharing the pix of Rene. Hope he's continuing to do well.

Elsita, you and your brother have been in my thoughts. I have checked your blog daily and felt so sad that you had not posted in awhile. I know your energy has been with Rene. So today I am very happy that he is doing well and you are feeling better. I lost two cherished friends, one to liver disease, one to alzheimer's disease, last month. The mystery of life and death is very much with me today, and my heart is with you also. Love, Nancy Gage

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to,doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. Do you understand?

Hi Elsita,
So glad to hear things are going well! Rene looks great and I'm very pleased to hear he has a positive outlook!
And yay for you!! Freeways can be scary. So many cars going at high speed, but at least everyone around you go the same direction. That makes it a bit less scary. Still... I remember when we drove our cars from Hungary to the UK to register and MOT them we had to drive on endless motorways in all sorts of different countries. By the time we got to England, I had white-knuckle-syndrome, I held on to the wheel so hard!
Did you get my facebook message?

I believe that we're all a human family and we all have something to learn from each other. Right now I see Rene not only as my beloved brother, but also as an amazing and inspiring human being. He's my hero and my teacher right now. In other posts I will tell you why.

I have read in a book "winners don't do the different things. They do the things differently". Champions always follow the same things.
