I am soooo excited about how clean my studio is right now!! I did a huge cleaning before we went on vacation and now I cannot wait to go back to it even for a few minutes a day to create new things :)
I don't enjoy working in a messy place because it is hard to find things when you need them. I love it when everything is nice and clean in my studio and house too, and when I know exactly where every thing is :)
It works the same way with the mind. The more organized our head is, the easier and nicer is to go through life doing what we need to do.
And now I am going to do the laundry :) Have a great Tuesday!
Elsita :)

What a beautiful place to work, different working places and two large windows for plenty of light. What more can a girl wish for.
While you are doing the laundry I am gonna take our christmas ornaments down and put them away. (In case you are wondering, I did my laundry yesterday, LOL)

I do laundry everyday. That way it never seems to overwhelm me and we always have clean socks since most of them are hand knit and require a long time to air dry in the winter.
I would love to explore your studio one day.

Wow! that's a beautiful work space to get all the creative juices flowing ! I'm currently creating a work-space too, although it's still a work in progress. My books , paints, sewing machine and dress form are all crammed into my bedroom.

What a wonderful workspace! One of my hopes for the new year is to be able to set up a studio space of my own. Right now I live in a tiny studio apartment so it's not really an option, but in the late summer or early fall I'll probably be moving to a larger apartment, one with the luxury of actual separate rooms. :)

Love all the light in your studio! And I so totally agree with you for having everything in its place......I am big into that and labeling things to make it easy to find them. Enjoy you few minutes a day for a few more days til the children are back in school. Is you Mother there yet? I fondly remember the book you made on her last visit!

I totally understand! I just cleaned my studio myself, and now, if only there wasn't anything else to be done in life I could just hang out there and create. Enjoy your space!

What an amazing studio. I am in love! I think it is bigger than my classroom. jan

I totally agree! I have to clean my studio every night so that when I get up in the morning I can get right to work. But my space is TEENY TINY, so if I didn't clean it every day it would be a disaster. I love seeing your nice sunny space full of materials for creating. HOORAY!

I love to have this picture of your studio, so I can imagine you working happily in your space!
I was also wondering if you heard the most recent "Fresh Air" podcast (NPR)? There's a really interesting interview with a woman who writes about animal behavior/welfare, and she's autistic--fascinating, and something I thought you might be interested in.

Well you have inspired me. As I looked around at my studio and then your picture I decided that tomorrow morning I will begin organizing again. Why is it that it gets so out of control...but we work so much better when everything is in its place?

What an amazing space! Organization is one of my resolutions....I feel so much better when things are organized (house and mind), but I am not a naturally organized person:)

I love the big picture above your left window, looking down on your studio! I've been reorganising my workspace over Christmas too. It's such a good feeling to be able to find things when you want them, and not waste precious time searching.

What a treat to now know what the room looks like where you create your beautiful work..

I love how much natural light you have coming in from those two windows! It is a beautiful space to create. Congratulations on finding the time to declutter before your vacation!

Your studio looks great and no wonder you like working in there now! I think cleaning and clearing clutter also clears the mind.
