My heart broke when my brother, niece and nephew had to go back to Florida. Alex, my nephew (he is with me in the photo) started crying and saying that he didn't want to go back home. Alex is one of the most special people in our family. He is so funny, creative, sweet, loving... Having him around is a gift. He cares a lot about each member of the family. In this visit he couldn't see Miro (my stepson) and he didn't stop asking about him everyday. I told you before that Alex is Autistic like my little prince Diego and he is doing amazing. His language is perfect and he is very connected with everybody around him. He says the funniest things. Like one day he started brushing his hair and saying: I just need to look professional! I miss him and my niece and my brother and sister in law soooooo much!!!! I really hope that one day we can all live in the same city, that will make a huge difference in our lives. But in the mind time I am really grateful that they came to visit us :)

It's so hard to live far away from family, isn't it? We have one set of cousins in Hawaii and another in Bratislava, Slovakia. And we are in Florida :(

I can "hear" in your writing how happy you are when your brother is visiting. I feel that way when I see my brothers, too. (They live so far away; I'm in LA and they're in San Francisco, Germany, and Kenya!) But when we see each other we are so HAPPY! I hope you get to see your brother and his family again soon. It looks like you all make the most of it when you are together! Thanks again for keeping this beautiful blog... I enjoy it so much every day!

and many happy years to come. It would be wonderful if you could move to LA to be with elsita . It is also so amazing how cousins have this close connection to each other even if they don't see each other very much. I love this happy photograph elsita. It made me smile instantly.
