And today I wanted to show you my latest papercut titled: Girl with a Magic Fruit. This piece is part of a series that I am finishing for the third edition of The Teeny Tiny Art Show. Some weeks ago Kim Ferreira (the Director of The Three Graces Gallery) invited me to participate in this singular show and I hapilly said YES! The opening of this show will take place on September 5th of 2008 from 5-8 PM and all the pieces in it will be teeny tiny :) The rule is that they should measure not more that 10".

And here is the info about the gallery in case you are around that area in September:

That is very appropriate because in my household elsita, you are the teeny tiny artist genius. We think you have special super hero powers to see with electon microscopic vision and that you own the tiniest scissors in the universe to make the small cuts in paper that you do along with a diamond point pencil to draw very thin lines and a paint brush made with the single hair of a very rare caterpillar that is found only in cuba to paint those thin lines. I love your latest teeny tiny work of paper cutting. You have challenged me in my own art and craft to grab some glasses and try to work at a very small scale.

Ooooh, how exciting! I love that papercut, but I love everything you make :)
I wish I was from the States to pay it a visit..

Hooray! I will have work in this show, too, and I'm going to the opening so I be able to see your beautiful art in person! How cool!

You are a GENIUS with scissors! I love the delicacy of this lovely piece. You should have your OWN show of all your wonderful and diverse creations! Once again, thank you for the inspiration.

It's fantastic! You are so talented :)

Fantastic! Congrats on your show. I will be looking for you at galleries near me. Someday soon I hope! Do you show in New Orleans at all?

Every time I visit your blog you take my breath away Elsita...this paper cut is amazing! Bravo!

It is so beautiful!

Hi, I love your work and I featured you on my blog today at www.needleandclay.com. Thanks for sharing your lovely pictures with everyone!

weeeeeeee...so excited, I'm definately going...

elsita, your work is so incredible! i love it and one day hope to own one of your lovely felt pins or prints.

Dear miss Elsita,

I just want you to know that you are the perfect antidote to any bad day, ever. In fact, I can quite honestly say that I love you, and that you even exist. You fill the world up with a little more light, and I am grateful for you and your glorious creations!

This papercut is so wonderful. I'm from New Hampshire, so hopefully I'll be able to get to the show. I would love to meet you and see your work. Try if at all possible to visit the village New Castle, NH, a small island connected to Portsmouth by a causeway. It the one of the most picturesque New England coastal villages, with many of the old houses built right at the edge of the road. It won't disappoint.

i love your art it is very true and lovely!

Beautiful beautiful artwork!

Congratulations on the art show in September, I only wish I lived close enough to see your beautiful art in person. This piece is amazing! I checked out Kristen's site too, my goodness... I laughed and laughed, her writing is extremely entertaining. Thanks for the link!

This is very beautiful!
