My Hidden Identity!!! :0

It is amazing how sometimes you don't really know who you are...unless you ask Wikipedia! You know how Wikipedia has all the answers to your questions so I asked Wikipedia about the word Elsita (which is my nickname as you know) because I wanted to know more about myself AND IMAGINE HOW EXCITED I GOT WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT I AM A MOTH!!!!! Seriously!! The proof is right here! Did you see it? It clearly says: Elsita is a genus of moth in the family Arctiidae.
Yay!!!! HOW FUN IS THAT? I can't wait to meet my new Arctiidae family, where have they been for all these years? Down here you can see an illustration about how our first meeting is going to look like. You can see me on the left and then on the right are my new relatives (or a very small representation of them because wikipedia tells me that the Arctiidae is a large and diverse family of moths with around 11,000 species found all over the world and with 6000 Neotropical species). Now I have to say that that's a little scary, I hope that they don't visit me all at the same time. Anyway, on the positive side and looking at the illustration I think that I am going to get alone so well with the one with both arms up, the one looking straight at the camera. He must be my oldest brother! Hi there brother!!

Now I literaly have to fly, that's the best thing about being a moth!!
But I will fly back tomorrow!
Have a great day!
Elsita :)

Last night when I couldn't sleep I was planning some activities and themes for future blog posts and guess what was on my very tired little brain, moths. I was thinking how butterflies with all their beautiful bright colors always get the limelight and moths are often ignored . I love moths . On beautiful warm summer evenings they always perform modern dances for me on the porch and I can't wait to give them the attention they deserve. I hope I have elsita moths this summer and I will definitely attempt to photograph them. Be careful flying around those lights little elsita moth, they can get very hot !!!!!

Congratulations on your newly found extended family. I am sure you will have lovely Thanksgivings!

What fun, Elsita!

Oh wow- I love moths...they seem magical to me. Which fits you I think!

You are too funny!

Mi nombre es vasco y tiene que ver con la miel. Quizá soy una abeja, jajaja.... :)

What a lovely family! I always thought a moth looked like a little person with wings when I see them on the window peeking in at night to say Hello!

I put that paper sculpture up on my blog on Monday finally and a link to the one you did as a beautiful dedication to your Mom.

Have a Blessed Day!!!

This is the cutest thing I've seen today. How funny to think of your huge moth family seeking you out and visiting you. I had a horrible experience at 15 when a moth got stuck in my ear and they had to drown in while still in there. I hope it wasn't one of your family. Thanks for the lovely images and imagination. Have a great day. Love Stacy

You make me smile every day. Thank you!

hehe... i love that one of them has a mustache... next time I see a moth in person I'll check to see if it has one, too.

Too funny!

But I LOVE the drawings. They are sweet. And awesome.

that's one of the most adorable things EVER!!!

I knew it: Wikepedia DOES change your life!

Oh, that's fun! I typed my name in 'Charlyne', and discovered I have a comedian namesake called Charlyne Yi, who lives in the States. That's cool because my name's not very common!

Very interesting! Part of the moth genus, eh? Well then that also makes you a Lucky Duck! And after looking at the illustration, I would have to say your a bit of a Crazy Bird, as well. Anyway, all the parts mashed together make a Pretty Cool You!

P.S I have been traumatized by Stacey's story above about the moth being drowned in her ear! AAAAAHHHHH!!!!

How about that! It's true then—self-knowledge gives a person wings!

elsita, we all knew you had wings...

elsita, we all knew you had wings...

I think that's a great secret identity. MothWoman. I wonder what your super powers are.
