The New York Times Magazine and Etsy.
IMPORTANT:
I am back for a second to let you know that I just read a LONG article in The New York Times Magazine about the handmade world and Etsy in particular (by Rob Walker). I found it very interesting. If you don't have the magazine at home today you can read it here. See you tomorrow!!! :)

Thanks for sharing that article with us. I am not surprised at the dramatic increase of etsy sales in the last few months but I was surprised that the business is not profitable after 2 years in operation. I think that a shop could not stay open if after 2 years it didn't make any money. The owners of etsy are probably just reinvesting the profits back into the company. If they started offering public shares I would definitely invest in them . Can't wait to see your purse. Have a great Sunday evening elsita.

Yes Margie I was also surprised about the fact that Etsy is not profitable yet after two years. I would like to know more details about this. I think that Robert Kalin is a very smart young man with an amazing instinct for business and a great passion for what he does. Etsy is definitely something remarkable and I am glad that The New York Times invested energy into writing this article :)
