that looks just like ray and I when we first met many years ago, I used to wear my hair just like that and he was always going off on his bicycle in search or wild flowers for me :)

THANK YOU, you are such a sweetie!
This is the BEST surprise in many, many, many months. I've already reserved one of your recommended books from the library. I am so eager to start learning this lesson on patience...and I want to start NOW! Hee hee.
My mother has done Scherenschnitte for years. I believe her favorite holiday is Valentine's Day. I have a collection of the Scherenschnitte valentines she has made me and my family for over a decade. I don't have a blog or flickr account right now, but when I do I want to post photos of her amazing creations. I never knew the connection of paper cutting and what I think must be a form of relaxation. Mom never mentioned this aspect for herself. But with your explanation of how it affects you, I begin to suspect this is how it is for her. I need this kind of thing in my life so very much.
Again, thank you for all the wonderful thought and LOVE you've put into to this branch of your blog. I will be visiting it often.
Many blessings on you and yours!

Interesting and useful technique. I could see that there will be some great sheets of fabric being produced here for further embellishment.
I think that your work is so creative, thanks for sharing it, I really like it!
